Sustainability and an innovative approach to ecology are values that are gaining increasing importance in today’s world. One of the initiatives that brings together business and environmental responsibility is Posadzimy.pl. We began our partnership with this organization alongside the launch of our ALLgood app. As part of this collaboration, our employees can exchange points earned in the app for tree seedlings. Additionally, the kilometers covered by Aillerons during sports competitions are converted into trees planted in Polish forests. We spoke with Mateusz Chabros, a representative of Posadzimy.pl, about how the platform works, where the idea came from, and the benefits it brings to both businesses and the planet. 

1 . Your initiative is growing rapidly, driven by a beautiful idea, so tell us from the beginning: where did the idea for Posadzimy.pl come from, and what were your early days like? 

We’re happy to hear that you also see our mission as something meaningful! Going back to the very beginning, the first company founded by the creators of Posadzimy.pl was ZnajdźReklamę.pl, which operates in the outdoor advertising market. As they observed the amount of paper they had to use daily, they came up with the idea to plant a tree for every advertising campaign completed.  

This concept gained such strong recognition from clients that they decided it was worth scaling up – helping businesses operate in a more sustainable way while also strengthening their brand image, ESG strategy, employer branding, and other areas of activity. You could say that’s exactly when Posadzimy.pl was born.  

As with any venture, the beginning wasn’t easy. There was a lot to learn, but a strong team and collaboration with foresters and experts allowed us to develop the right operating model quickly. Posadzimy.pl started to attract the interest of more and more companies rapidly. In our first year, we managed to plant just over 4,000 trees, followed by 33,000 the next year, and in 2024 alone – 204,780 trees. This exponential growth clearly shows that our mission of reforesting areas across Poland has been very well received by companies, as well as their customers and partners. 

2. That’s a beautiful story and truly impressive results right from the start! It’s clear that there’s a deeper idea behind it all. What is your mission, and what goals guide your actions? 

From the very beginning, Posadzimy.pl set out to plant trees in a responsible way. We strive to emphasize in our communication that we plant trees in accordance with scientific knowledge, all applicable regulations, and best practices. Our core principle is: “the wellbeing of the forest always comes first.” This belief is at the heart of a number of values that guide everything we do. 

First and foremost, we help restore forested areas across Poland that have been damaged by natural factors – such as fire, windstorms, or tree dieback. We only plant where foresters have determined that human intervention is needed. We don’t operate on land managed by the State Forests; instead, we support municipalities, counties, and sometimes private landowners. Forest restoration is often a major challenge for them, but thanks to our support, new forests can start growing. 

The tree species are selected by local foresters, who best understand the needs of their specific forests. They consider biodiversity and seed regionalism – meaning that seedlings are grown near the areas where they will be planted. The planting itself is carried out by professionals from Forest Service Companies who specialize in planting trees and know how to do it properly. This ensures that the saplings have optimal conditions to take root and thrive for years to come. 

In the following years, we continue to monitor the forest. We commit to replanting, at our own cost, if a significant number of saplings fail to take hold. After planting, we remain in contact with forestry experts and revisit our forests to observe their growth. Landowners also commit not to cut these trees down for commercial purposes, so our Partners can be confident that the trees will grow for many years to come. 

Of course, there are many more values we uphold. At Posadzimy.pl, we even have a dedicated role held by our colleague Bartek — he specializes in identifying suitable planting sites, communicating with foresters, and continuously learning from experts. 

Our goal is to provide companies with a fast and effective way to contribute to sustainable development. At Posadzimy.pl, tree planting follows a “you click, we plant” model – and that’s exactly how it works. Just a few moments are enough to plant a corporate forest, and we take care of the rest. 

3. I believe this is the essence of our successful partnership – a shared mission and purpose in action. What unites us is our care for the environment. And since we’re already talking about nature – what specific environmental benefits result from your activities? 

The importance of forests for both the natural environment and humanity has, I believe, been well understood for generations. Caring for forests is something deeply rooted in all of us. It’s nearly impossible to list all the benefits of responsible tree planting. 

First and foremost, our work helps areas that once hosted forests to turn green again in a relatively short time. It’s important to remember that a forest is a complex ecosystem essential to both flora and fauna. Planting trees offers the entire local environment a chance to restore biodiversity. 

Even primary school students know what photosynthesis is. Trees absorb carbon dioxide to produce energy and oxygen. Their ability to capture CO₂ is particularly important today, as we focus more than ever on climate change and environmental protection. 

It’s also worth highlighting that tree planting brings not only environmental but also social benefits. The municipalities and counties we collaborate with often allocate the saved funds to socially beneficial projects. For example, during the “Autumn 2024” campaign, the governor of Gostynin committed to co-funding a specialized vehicle for the local fire brigade. In another case, in the Żary Municipality, they decided to enhance one of the local playgrounds. 

Forests also have a significant positive impact on our mental and physical health, as confirmed by numerous studies. This is especially important in the context of employee wellbeing, which is gaining increasing attention today. 

4. You’ve managed to engage many companies in your initiatives, and the number of trees planted together is truly impressive! 😊 Tell us – how many saplings have you planted so far? 

At the end of March 2025, we celebrated reaching another milestone: 600,000 saplings planted since the beginning of our operations. The vast majority are already thriving in forests across Poland, with the remaining ones scheduled to be planted as part of our “Spring 2025” initiative. 

None of this would have been possible without our Partners – there are now over 1,000 of them! We’re grateful for every organization that joins us because it’s thanks to them that our tree counter keeps growing. 

5. It’s clear that efficiency and results are crucial in evaluating whether our work is truly effective and delivering real impact. How do you monitor the effectiveness of your efforts? 

Our primary benchmark is the total number of trees planted, which we aim to steadily increase with each campaign. It’s worth noting that autumn campaigns typically bring in the highest results – most of our records are set during this season, like in autumn 2024, when we planted 109,600 trees across 8 locations in Poland. 

Another important metric for us is the number of organizations planting trees with us. We’re excited every time a new Partner joins the growing community of companies committed to protecting the local environment. Responsible tree planting requires consistency, which is why we greatly value businesses that embed these actions into their core identity. Regular planting is a testament to real, effective environmental engagement. 

I also think it’s worth bringing the focus back to the forests themselves. Efficiency matters here as well – we do everything we can to ensure that each sapling has the best possible conditions to take root and thrive. That’s why we rely on the knowledge and expertise of professionals for all of our planting efforts. 

6. The companies you work with are incredibly diverse – ranging from e-commerce and beauty to IT. Clearly, anyone can join you in planting Polish forests. Can you briefly explain how your collaboration with clients works? 

We aim to provide companies with a quick, simple, and beneficial way to have a positive impact on Polish forests. By planting trees with us, an organization not only supports the environment and local communities but also gains value in areas such as marketing, employer branding, building competitive advantage, and increasing customer satisfaction.  

With Posadzimy.pl, trees can be planted as part of a company’s eco-friendly initiatives, or on behalf of clients, employees, or business partners. Planting a tree takes just a few clicks directly on the Posadzimy.pl website, and each Partner is assigned a dedicated account manager who offers tailored solutions, creative ideas, and assistance whenever needed.  

We also provide our Partners with a wide range of marketing materials. For every tree planted, they receive a visually appealing certificate that can be used in their communications. There’s also a special widget that can be embedded on their website to show users how many trees the company has planted – highlighting their commitment to environmental action. We provide photos and videos from planting sites, prepare reports, and issue official statements confirming that everything was carried out as agreed.  

In addition, we create partner posts and educational content and recently launched a series of webinars and interviews with our Partners. And that’s certainly not all.  

It’s worth noting that our relationships with Partners go far beyond standard business interactions. We collaborate on organizing educational webinars, conducting joint interviews, creating shared content marketing materials, and discussing their individual needs. We often hear that it’s rare for B2B partnerships to run so smoothly and that people can really sense the human side behind our business. That kind of feedback is incredibly rewarding and means a lot to us. 

7. We’ve been actively collaborating since 2024. The initiative originally came from one of our employees. Thanks to the steps we’ve taken in the areas of ecology and ESG, we’ve noticed increased employee engagement and an enthusiastic response to the idea of tree planting. We truly value our cooperation with you. From your perspective, what does the partnership with Ailleron mean to your organization? 

Ailleron is made up of professionals we truly enjoy working with. We’re especially happy that we can contribute to forest restoration together with a reliable Partner who – despite operating on an international scale – values local initiatives such as planting trees in Polish forests.

Additionally, in the ALLGood app, employees can exchange points for a reward – a sapling planted in a Polish forest. How can tech companies (and others) engage even more effectively in ESG activities through collaboration with you? 

Your example proves that tree planting can successfully combine two ESG pillars – environmental and employee-focused. As I mentioned, there are countless ways to plant trees, and the choice really depends on a company’s specific needs. We provide the tools, and we encourage companies to take their ESG strategies even further and explore new initiatives.

Naturally, specialists from Ailleron also took part in one of our sessions, titled “How to support employee wellbeing in the age of ESG.”

9. Watching your initiatives, it’s clear you’re not slowing down. 😊 What are your development plans for the coming years? 

In the coming years, we aim to consistently follow the proven model we’ve developed, as it genuinely benefits the environment and is valued by our Partners, such as Ailleron. We now work with over 1,000 organizations, and that number keeps growing. Let me emphasize once again that this is all possible thanks to them, and we hope that even more organizations will join Posadzimy.pl in planting trees. 

Our ambitious dream is to see the tree counter reach one million. In the end, it’s Poland’s forests, natural environment, and society that will benefit most. Seeing more and more hectares of restored landscape across the country is something we hope to witness in the coming years.
