There’s plenty of #WomanPower at Ailleron, and the next star of our series is Operational Director Magda. Learn about her journey.

1 . Hi Magda. We’re glad that you managed to find time for this interview despite your busy schedule.

It’s an honor for me.

2. At Ailleron, you hold the position of Operational Director in the LiveBank team. What does your job in this position involve? What are your main responsibilities?

It’s a pretty demanding position because my role covers not only business matters but also operational aspects of the Business Unit’s functioning. Additionally, I handle projects, provide executive-level business advice, and address personnel concerns raised by my coworkers. I also help enhance their qualifications and create opportunities for effective development within the company.

3. What would it be if you had to name one thing you like most about your job?

People. Without them, there would be nothing. I have great, talented colleagues on my team and also company-wide in other Business Units and internal departments. I collaborate with fantastic teams in Payroll, Employer Branding, People, and Accounting. Believe me, it’s rare to get so much support in every matter.

4. And what kind of boss is Magda?

I’m a human one, at least I hope so [laughs]. I try to get to know people as well as possible and give them the support they need.

5. It cannot be denied that the IT industry is often perceived as a “male” world by many. How do you navigate in this environment? Do you have any pro tips on how to enter this world and maintain your feminine energy?

I think it’s important to look at each person through the lens of personality and energy rather than gender. This way, we preserve our individuality while also understanding others better. It’s extremely helpful in teamwork. Overall, that’s my key piece of advice in this regard, and I find it effective.

6. In our pre-interview chat, you mentioned graduating from law school, and now you’re director at an IT company. How did that happen?

Law was my dream, and I didn’t give it up, even though I worked in the IT industry during my studies and knew I would go in that direction. Looking ahead, who knows, maybe I could combine these two fields. Considering the times we live in, anything is possible.

7. You prove that it’s worth taking a broad view of your profession, the opportunities it offers, as well as seeking chances to combine education with passions. Are you fulfilled in your current position, or do you see other possibilities and goals you’d like to achieve professionally?

I’m satisfied with my current role, but I have many professional goals. For now, I won’t reveal more details.

8. In your career choices, you’ve invested in yourself. What advice would you give to women who feel the need for change but hesitate to take that initial step?

I’d say philosophically that we only have one life, and how it looks depends solely on ourselves. It’s worth trying not to be afraid and taking steps, big or small, towards your happiness and satisfaction. What you feel and your intuition tells you to do is usually the right thing. Motivation grows when you work hard but know you’re doing it for yourself.

9. You’re a woman with great energy and charisma. Where do you get this #WomanPower from?

First and foremost, I have wonderful friends who always support me, which gives me great motivation. Also, working with my team, I see that people are motivated and committed. Together, we share a common goal, which inspires and fuels our actions.

10. Does this feminine energy sometimes hinder you at work? Or on the contrary, does it help in any way?

I believe feminine multitasking primarily helps me. I have time and energy to complete tasks from A to Z, and I still have reserves for coffee, chatting, and making new plans. 😊

11. Changes in the industry are noticeable – more women are holding executive positions. What are your thoughts on this?

A breakthrough occurred some time ago. Looking at the industry a few years back, you rarely saw women in executive roles within business structures. Now, it seems we no longer view things through the lens of gender but rather competence and the corporate world offers us great flexibility to prioritize other aspects of our lives, making time for our loved ones and pursuing passions.

12. You had the opportunity to participate in IT’s #WomanPower program. Do you feel this feminine power at Ailleron, and what do you think of the company’s appreciation initiative?

From my perspective, you can feel the appreciation. When I talk to my colleagues, we see that the company is genuinely committed to achieving the highest possible equality among employees. As for the appreciation trip – well, it’s impossible not to love Italy, and going there with a group of fantastic women makes it the perfect trip.

13. Concluding our conversation, I want to ask more about your daily schedule. It’s full, I know, because I tried to reach you recently. What’s your way to effectively chill and relax after work?

Primarily sports, exercising, reading a good book, walking, or having coffee with friends. It’s essential to take care of your relaxation to have the right motivation and energy. Despite the changing weather, I encourage everyone to get up from their desks and take advantage of what the day offers, even the rainy one. 😊

Magda, thank you for this lovely conversation. It’s wonderful to see women full of passion and energy who are professionally fulfilled and openly say they love what they do. We wish you to keep that energetic vibe.
